By the way, you don't need to go to the airport to see these large birds in Pokhara. Walk down the alley towards Mike's Hotel Fewa, next to the lake & by the Nepal Aquaculture site. There are abundant open fields there. In the a.m. lots of vultures and large raptors in the trees and on the fences there.
