NO iodine problem!

1. The tincture seems to be pretty right, iodine solution is a brownish solution
2. you can buy iodine easely in Kathmandu, Pokhara and often on the trek
3. There is bottled water on al the treks and hipes of tasty tea ( Try big pot lemon tea) so you could survive even without iodine. There are also lots of softdrinks and beer.
4. On the Annapurnacircuit, you can buy filterd water at many villages. This is done by ACAP and I thing its safe.
So dont worry and go happy to Nepal!


: we are leaving for Nepal in 3 days time, and are not able to find iodine tablets anywhere in South Africa. The closest thing seems to be Tincture of iodine - a maroonish, brownish solution you add to water (2-4 drops per litre ). Will this do?
