February will be the coldest of all, plus you may expect hail
I would advise against February unless you have previous high mountain experience
in winter. It is very cold indeed. I have not direct experience, but I have climbed in the French
Alps in the winter - The first time I made the mistake of puttng a
Carabiner in my mouth. It froze there. The mess whne I eventually pulled it our was indescribable - so
don't use an aluminium water bottle! Its these unexpected problems that cause the trouble.

I have not yet had any feedback from trekkers in Feb or January - maybe I have discouraged them all!

Hope this helps

Ian

: Hey there,

: Just wondering if anyone out there has trekked in Feb?
: I read about Tony Linfoot's report and it seems even
: in Nov/Dec it was quite cold. Would Feb be worst?

: My original plans were actually to visit Tibet but
: trekking at that time of the year seems impossible.
: Does anyone have any info??

: Kind regards
: Ben
