That was funny on everestnews! Read somewhere (and my attention to detail is attrocious...) that the waves of Chinese climbers will carry methylated spirit with them. Upon reaching the summit of Everest they will take it in their mouth and, using the "olympic torch" (or it's fourth cousin trice removed by the sounds of it) will blow the meths to make an impersonation of some huge mythological fire breathing dragon which, it is said, used to fly there to mate with his consort in the appropriate season once every couple of thousand years or so. Not kidding. Though I have a suspicion that the dragon might have been distracted by LYW along the way, the one who's now distributing Free Tibet t-shirts to trekkers at Gorak Sehp.
Seriously, shall we place some bets on their succes/failure? Or what the natrue of their punishment might be if they fail but return to Base Camp alive?
I am willing to play bookmaker.
