Some lodges chrge... you money, for charging. Though on our Gokyo trek in January I had two dirty big lithium ion batteries which I charged in Nameche were there was no charge. I did not need to charge batteries after Namche, until we got back to Lukla. But I buy two batteries lithium ion for every device, like the camera and the video camera.
