I have spent a lot of time in Delhi over the years and have never taken malaria profylax. Sleep under a fan or have AC, and do not expose your self by wearing shorts and short sleaves in the evenings, and you will be just fine.

Normally, Malaria is just a concern in India if you leave electrified areas. In Delhi I would worry more about dengue, it is a nasty fever with no profylaxis available.
