We were in Ladakh in 2005 and think you'll love it. We were in Delhi for a day and didn't do the malaria medicine, and were okay, but there is malaria, as well as other mosquito problems there, especially during the wet season that is now. So don't want to say don't do it, but just that we didn't and had no problem. Enjoy-----Tom & Jim.
