Regarding Chandra tal - Baralacha: Bharatpur is on Ma*nali - Leh road already after Baralacha towards Leh. To get there from Chandra tal it takes minimum 3 days (actually 4 from Batal). And according to you in between you can stay in nepali style teahouses?
Regarding Darcha - Padum I am refering to Darcha - Kargyak section not Tsarap valley.
Regarding Ladakh: yes, there are parachute tents but strangely people are paying lots of money for horses&ponymen, cooks etc. to camp just next to it. I spend all summer for quite some years in Ladakh, most of it trekking and I havent seen anyone staying in parachute tent. I would not either. Must be some reason for that and I guess the reason is that parachute tents are not intended for trekkers accomodation but for locals to sell you a bottle of beer, tea, coke and maggi soup. I did most popular treks in Nepal as well and I pretty much know what I can expect if I go round Annapurnas (a room with a bed, sheet&blanket, food&drinks from the menu, hot shower sometimes, electric power...) or from Lamayuru to Darcha (cup of tea under parachute cupola). I know you did both too and your claim that it is practically the same thing really surprises me.
My point is: you can stay in parachute tent, shepperds hut, nomad tent, villagers house, igloo, in the cave or sleep outside under stars - and some people actually do and I myself did a lot of it - but that is NOT a nepali style teahouse trekking. Is this so difficult to understand?
