It is a bit easier than Cho la. There is no glacier on top but the trail is not well defined on the last section before the pass on Gokyo side while west side is precipitous but the trail is zigzaging safely down. No need for camping. From lodges at Gokyo it is 3-4 hours to the pass and it is even possible to make it all the way to Thame the same day though there are lodges in two places between the pass and Thame.
