In 2 weeks you are not doing any grandiose trekking. Tibet will not be accessable in January so stick to Nepal. Kathmandu is worth a few days there with it's 7 world heritage sites. Perhaps Lantang or Helambu and a visit to Pokhara.

: Unless you want to do a "let's see Europe in two weeks", I suggest you just stick to one of the destinations.
: You can do it, but I doubt the quality of it, and at the end you'll be tired as a dog. Are you from the US or something?...

: You' need to fly everywhere locally,e.g. to Pokhara to possibly do the Poon Hill trek (4-5 days), and obviously fly KTM ot Lhasa (over 400 USD return as China Airlines has monopoly). Driving there takes a few days, and you don't have that time.
: You'll also need to have the China/Tibet special visa in advance, as it take days or weeks to get it in KTM.

: I suggest you buy a good guide book, like the Lonely planet or something, and find out about some of these things before embarking on such a journey.

: : How do you think we should plan our two weeks trip in Nepal/Tibet/Himalaya, if we want to do some grandiose trekking as well as travel around in general?
: : If we trek in the Annapurna area, where should we go for a 1 week trek?
: : Is Kathmandu a good starting point?
: : How do you travel between Lhasa and Kathmnadu? Are there any trains or buses? How much is a flight ticket?

: : Thanks!
