: Going with a friend to Everest area in October of 2005. Should I make air reservations to Lukla with a company over the internet in advance? If I made them in Thamel, how many days would pass before I could take off? : Also, as we want to have a flexible itinerary, will it be possible to get a good guide and porter in Lukla or Namche in that season on arrival, or should we arrange with someone in advance. We plan on Teahouse trekking and having our own small tents just in case its too crowded or too loud. THANKS!
