World Expeditions should know what they do and so they can tell you.

Actually it's despite other peoples talk not a big problem to do it, if yo meet maoists, they ask "donations". This you have to accept, otherwise you will not complete the trip.

But it's not sure you meet them.

We did not have any problem in March 2004 on our way to our climbing trip in Khumbu. We did only hear, but not meet any maoists directly.

Don't panik, but be alert (specially if your'e american or british, then your donation will be more...

: Any idea what the current situation is. I understand that World Expeditions cancelled their April trip and instead flew into Lukla because of the security situation at the Jiri end. Has it got better? I am booked on their October trip and one of the main purposes for me was the walk in. Thanks Joe
