Strange. I've never heard of that before. People in Nepal have often told me about the massacre of the Khampa warriors.
I know, however, that for some time Tibetans were being trained in Ladakh (I saw a photograph in Dharamsala of the Dalai Lama giving his blessing to Tibetan paratroopers!.. post-1974). After that, they were trained in Garhwal.
