no such thing as a stupid question.. and to answer your sensible question, No - the Sanctuary ia an optional add-on to the Circuit and is usually treated as trek in its own right.
If you go to 'The Treks' on this board you'll find a day by day beakdown of both. They both have their own start and end points.

Ahhh, really silly question - but do all itineraries for the Circuit have the Sanctuary built into them??!!
