Thanks for the page, great descriptions. I know I could never get up and down those inclines unless I lost a lot of weight and did serious legwork for six months.

Good idea to go to Kachnechunga. I went over that way birding and it was superb. I did not do the trek I went to Koshi Tappu and an interesting forest. Friends of mine who did the Barum Valley trek raved about it. Complete porter job, tents etc.
I can't wait to get back to Nepal but I just don't have time for any of the longer treks. The Everest trek nearly killed me as I didn't get my legs in shape. I think I am mostly interested in little off shoots from the major treks. Langtang is really good for that. Steep as hell but beautiful.
