Hi Jen, I have not trekked alone in Nepal, but the first time I went there I was alone. Their attitude to women is very respectful.. Though the rafting guides are fond of the ladies ;), they are lovely. I have only had one bad experience being a lone female in Nepal...it was a tourist from Fiji!! :)
You'll be fine I'm sure. though I would always suggest that a self defense class would be useful before you go....you could be a black belt in Karate for all I know....but I am basing this posting on the 'norm' (if there is one).

P.S. I am 'working' too ;) ...and it is the only break from the STRESS here that I am getting at the moment :)

P.P.S. If you do meet up with Carl, don't make plans for the next day...when we all met up in London last time my head KILLED the next day.
