A number of sources imply that marijuana/hashish is readily available in Kathmandun and elsewhere in the Himalaya.

What are the legal/political risks of a foriegner purchasing and/or smoking marijuana in the Nepal Hiamlaya? In the Indian Himalaya?

Is it easy to find?

Would it be unwise to fly to Lukla while in posession of said substances?

Is law enforcement going to hassle you if you are caught smoking in the Khumbu area? Will the locals be offended?
