"Aviation Gas" that sombody had mentioned to you must be another misnomer, as there certainly are no piston engine planes visiting Lukla that use aviation gas, at least I have never seen one. He must mean Jet A1 aviation fuel which is a close relative of diesel fuel and light heating oil (which two are practically the same). Thus Jet A1 is even worse than kerosene (paraffine in UK), but at least A1 is CLEAN.

liquid fuels in order of preference:

- Coleman fuel (made for stoves, safe & clean burning)
- Cleaning gasoline (petrol in UK, puhdistettu bensiini)
- Automotive gasoline, unleaded (petrol in UK, lyijytön pensa)
- Kerosene (paraffin in UK, lamppuöjy eli petrooli). There are several grades that differ in quality and smell
-leaded gasoline (leaded petrol, cloggs the fuel lines easily, toxic fumes)
- Jet A1 jet engine fuel (turbo prop planes, helicopters, jets use this, lentopetrooli)
- Diesel fuel, light heating oil

I'll get to the mail next...
