Terve taas,
: ---If the MSR has the same, consult the manual. If not, then the same nozzle will burn both.
Checked the manual, and yes, there is another jet (or a "nozzle"?) for kerosine. Luckily I even have it with me, eh.
: Kerosene is a bit more difficult to light (longer priming time), smells worse and makes more soot, but it works. ---
Some recident western dudes here in Ktm (who are in trekking & climbing) told that there will plenty of fuels available in Jiri, Lukla and most likely in NB aswell.
An English fellow (a serious climber) recommended to use aviation gas (from Lukla) instead of kerosine. Claimed that is cleaner & nicer, so maybe I'll try that.
Anyway, I'm quite confident that the fuel is not going to be a problem at all (when carrying a multifuel stove). Though I must admit all these different fuels and their slightly different names in different languages can get a bit confusing...
: The stuff you can find in Ktm and along the way can have dirt in it, so better filter is, a small funnel & cafe filter or something.
Good point, cheers.
: About maps: the new "Finnish" topo maps are extremely accurate, but diffiult to read---
Latest map gossip in Ktm alleys is, that i.e. the Everest sheet of "Finnish" maps is not available anymore, already out of print. Sadly - and irrationally - it can be, that there will not be another reprint, due to economical situation with the local authorities responsible for mapping...
Good to know about those Nepa-Maps, assuming that they are the second best thing available.
Lets get back to it.

P.S. Petrus, did you receive my email a week or so ago (Retki ja Era-lehdista, jne)?
