I guess this seems all fine at first, but it is bad for all of us, as it drives insurance premiums up, and may even get insurances not to cover the particular activity. I suppose they still do cover trekking as there are not many trourists (in the broader sense) doing trekking, hence not many claims, compared to all the petty stuff like loss/theft of cameras, hairdryers, contact lenses and passports etc, that happens more often when Mr and Mrs Smith/Mueller/Dupont/etc go to Costa del Sol with their 13 children and pet turtle.

: Convinietly the patient also escapes the 3 day hike on bad trails and the hard climb over Zatrwa La to Lukla...
