You were utterly ripped off. 150 dollars per night is a mad price, at that the stuff probably got a large slice of the fea for the "tibetan doctor", get some one business, and get a commission that is the way things work in Nepal. You should have contacted the local authoritiets. They would probably have helped you both with the medicine man and the charge for the hotel which they also would have found a complete rip off.
Usually it pays to lodge complaints in these situations. Sometimes you can get a refun, and even if you donīt you can depend on the police to give the hasslers a hard time to get a cut of the spoils. In fact at times they are delighted with complaints because it gives them a chance to excercis a little extortion.

: last october a group of 6 of us girls were on a spiritual adventure that ened in jomsom.After our trek we landed in jomsom to experience a taste of altitude sickness. My best friend and I decided since we were going to be stuck in jomsom for a few days we would treat ourselves to a so called 5 star hotel for $150.00 U.S. per nite. well thats a hell of alot of rupees.The sickness was getting worse so we asked the front desk if they had any advice, right away they sent up a "Tibetan medicine man" well he was far from that! to make a long story short he ended up sexually assulting the both of us. As we gathered our thaughts and figured out what had just happened we notified the management and basically were told "too bad, theres nothing we can do about it,his duties have been performed and we must pay him for his work" well being far from home we figured we must let it pass. please spread the word on the jomsom mountain resort!! do not ever order services you are not aware of. use caution ladies !!!over all our journey to nepal was one we will never forget, the most beautiful land on earth!!! namaste
