Day 56 Torbay to Cosey Corner |
If you can walk past this place without stopping to soak it in, you are in too much of a rush. This was my best day on the Bibbulmun Track |

![]() Well, after 2 kilometres I hit Cosey Corner Beach and Camping Area. It was such a perfect day, and such a perfect spot that I decided to stay. I swam, I sun-baked, I walked 2 kilometres to the general store for bait and I chatted with campers. After setting my tent in a lovely remote setting, I went fishing. I waded out to a little rock island some 100 metres off-shore then threw my line in. within half an hour I had a rather large herring, and by sunset I had caught five, lost 1 and thrown one back in. Eventually the line snapped while casting and I think a fish out there is swimming with a hook, float and sinker in its gob. Cooked fish on BBQ under the stars. Jenny and Bluey gave me some bread, margarine and salt. |
