Day 50 Boat Harbour to William Bay |
11 kilometres from Boat Harbour Campsite to Parry Inlet camping grounds are fairly sandy and undulating. From there it's a 7 kilometre beach walk (slog), around Mazolleti Beach! Depending upon the time of year, you may even need to wade across Parry Inlet, where it meets with the ocean. Leaving the beach the last 2 kilometres to William Bay, it is all uphill. |

![]() It rained hard, non-stop last night from 7pm to 2am! Set off in the rain but didn't mind too much. Met some Notre Dame students at Parry Inlet camping grounds. No Mars Bars or anything for sale so I took boots off and set off on 7 kilometre beach walk. Parry Inlet was as dry as an AA meeting, so challenge did not eventuate (wading). After leaving the beach it was a long climb uphill to the William Bay campsite. Sun was finally out as I arrived so I laid my wet gear out on a table to dry. Great granite boulder lookout just 100 metres from the hut, which I visited on many occasions. All food gone, bring on Denmark tomorrow. Flying along now. ![]() ![]() |
