Day 34 Beedelup to Pemberton |
Very shady pleasant walk with views of farmland in places. Long flat walking with the section near the Big Brook Dam a treat. The final 5 kilometres into Pemberton joins the Rainbow Trail (tourist drive), that skirts the Lefroy Brook. Idyllic, damned swimming pool as you enter Pemberton is a "must swim" after a big day! |

![]() Up early an on the track by 6am. Walk was through dense understorey, tall karris, which kept things rather cool. Made good progress and by 10:30 am had covered 15 kilometres to Big Brook Dam. Needless to say, at the dam I had a swim and a cuppa, then set about polishing off the final 8 kilometres. Saw 3 tiger snakes today ( total now 9) and three kangaroos. Hit Pemberton Pool at 12:45pm after a scenic walk along the rainbow trail. Luscious scenery along Lefroy Brook made for a pleasant walk. Bought usual supplies from Supa Value supermarket and then checked in at the backpackers, $19 per night. Spent one hour on email then gave Laura and Maurice a go on my boomerang. Very sleepy, sharing a room with I girl and 2 guys. (Louisa, Gordon and one other) ![]() ![]() |
